The Szpilman Award, founded in 2003 (www.award.szpilman.de), is dedicated to finding the best ephemeral works of art. On the corresponding blog, jury member post art finds pertaining to this artistic sub-category.

Ephemeral art can come in all kinds of mediums, so there's wide variety of art to be found: from facial expressions (lasting three seconds) to dirt grafitti (lasting until the next wash). Ephemeral art is an unstable business: often not knowing itself how long it wil last and who or how many will view it.

The Internet is quite similar: it's an ephemeral, constantly changing medium. So it's great to see that the Internet of all gives visibility and longevity to ephemeral art surpassing its existence in real space.
