In 2003 the Szpilman Award is announced for the first time. A swiss art-
magazine writes: "Ein charmanter neuer Kunstpreis". 17 participants from
Germany fight for the challenge cup. The jury conference takes place in
a hotel room in Frankfurt. After one day the members of the jury shortlist
the best seven, on the second day the winner is selected: Julia Weidner.
