Karin Felbermayr
Karin Felbermayr, born 1976, lives and works in Berlin/Germany and Vienna/Austria. Studied in Munich, Budapest and Vienna, featured on international exhibitions, awarded a bunch of times, published several books. In 2003 her performance Damenwahl was selected for Szpilman Award Shortlist.
Mark Gisbourne about Karin: 'The body as physiognomy (its forms, types, characteristics) as opposed to physiology (it biological functioning) is where Felbermayr begins. Her aim then is not strictly to question the role of gender as an existent reality, so much as posing the question as to whether that reality conforms to identity.'
Sai Hua Kuan
Sai Hua Kuan was born into a Hainaness family in Singapore, in 1976 and now lives and works in the UK. Graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, he has participated in numerous exhibitions internationally, including Canada, England, France, Germany, Russian and Singapore. Breaking down and transforming a space, and dismantling and reconstructing materials and objects are the important components in his art.
Sai works with a diverse range of medium, including installation, sculpture, film, photography and performance. Sai's work Space Drawing was selected for Szpilman Award Shortlist 2008.
Stefanie Trojan
Stefanie Trojan, born 1976, lives and works in Frankfurt/Germany. Graduated from Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, she has taken part in many exhibitions around the globe, given lectures and received several awards. Her performance Berührt was selected for Szpilman Award Shortlist 2006.
Stefanie utilizes her own body as an artistic material, with which she investigates figurative sculpture and performance. Her work involves the reaction of the observer. She passes the action on to him and make him part of the performance.
Abendschüler der Städelschule
Aim of the evening school Abendschule der Städelschule in Frankfurt is to guide and promote art-interested people in the development of an individual artistic representation.
