The Szpilman Award Show #4 Schöfferhof exhibits live-performances of Karin Felbermayr, Sai Hua Kuan and Stefanie Trojan, drawings made by Städel-Abendschüler and Der Große Szpilman.
Three artists, who are represented since 2003 on the Szpilman Award Best Seven list, Karin Felbermayr, Sai Hua Kuan and Stefanie Trojan, present a current work live at the opening night.
In Person #04 Karin Felbermayr performs repeatedly a choreography of different gestures and poses, using several masks. Sai Hua Kuan presents his Space Drawing, a performative installation made out of black ropes dissapearing absolutely rapid. Stefanie Trojan's Übergriffig/Schmiegsam/ Schweigen is a series of minimal physical acts visitors of the exhibition are faced with.
Their performances are recorded graphically by 19 Städel-Abendschüler, from different perspectives with different handwriting documentations of ephemeral situations emerge. The drawings are shown in the following weeks in the exhibtion.
In addition Der Große Szpilman is displayed: an extensive file of ephemeral works, the extended issue of the daily blog Potz! Blitz! Szpilman!. To see are numerous video documentations of short-lived works, made by established and unknown artists since 1960 until today.
